Research and Development

Queen’s Hospital, Burton, is committed to supporting research to provide the best possible care for our patients.  A wide range of research studies are carried out at the Hospital, ranging from simple questionnaires to drug studies, and cover a range of clinical specialities.

Research is only permitted to take place after it has been reviewed by the Health Research Authority and by the hospital’s Research and Development (R&D) Clinical Group..

How Your Information is used in Research at Queen’s Hospital, Burton.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force on 25 May 2018, and brought about the enactment of the new Data Protection Act 2018.

The Health Research Authority issued guidance for all NHS Organisations to ensure that appropriate measures were put in place to accommodate this.  Queen’s Hospital Burton has worked closely with its research partners to ensure that this is the case locally.
