Have your say on local healthcare

Have your say on local healthcare
14 November 2016

Burton Hospitals has created a video and new information online to keep people informed of its plans to improve local healthcare.

The Trust that runs Queen’s Hospital in Burton, and two community hospitals in Lichfield and Tamworth, is also asking local people to get involved and give their feedback to help shape future services.

The Trust has unveiled some new, jargon-free website pages that talk about its vision and its partnerships with organisations such as Derby Teaching Hospitals, Virgin Care, the Staffordshire Sustainable Transformation Plan (STP) and STRIDE, the joint venture that looks to make the best use of the Trust’s land and facilities - http://strategy.burtonhospitals.nhs.uk. There are surveys on the pages that people can complete to give their views and raise any concerns. This page also includes an animated video called Delivering Care Where It Counts. This can also be seen at http://bit.ly/CareWhereItCounts.

Chief Executive Helen Scott-South said: “Our priority is continuing to improve the care we provide and helping people to get safe, high-quality care closer to home.

“Burton Hospitals is on a journey and our ambition is to become an ‘outstanding’ Trust.  Over the coming months we have an opportunity to transform the way that local healthcare is delivered, and we want the local community to be involved and help us take a step closer to achieving that ambition.”
