Burton Hospitals boosts clinical team
04 November 2016

BURTON Hospitals has strengthened its clinical team with the announcement of the appointment seven new consultants. Two consultants, working in the areas of Critical Care and Ophthalmology, started work at the Trust in August and September while five more will join before the end of March 2017.

Those consultants specialise in Emergency Medicine, Diabetes and Anaesthetics. The appointments underline the Trust’s growing reputation for attracting talented medical and surgical recruits to the Trust.

Dr Magnus Harrison, Medical Director for Burton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, said: “Our main priority is providing safe, effective, high-quality care for our patients and strengthening our clinical teams will help us continue to provide that. I’m delighted we have made these crucial appointments and I look forward to working alongside them.

“Burton Hospitals is on a journey and we’re striving to be the best. By attracting the very best talent – in all areas of the Trust as well as medical provision – we take a step close to achieving that ambition.”
