John Anderson - East Staffordshire

Queen's is an excellent hospital and I am extremely proud to be involved in ensuring its success into the future.

My wife Rachael and I have had cause to use the services at Queens on many occasions and we, as a family, have always valued the care and attention we received, indeed my son Lewis was born at Queens!

I am heavily involved in supporting my community.

I am presently a governor at de Ferrers Academy and enjoy setting the strategic directions with like-minded people to achieve a common aim.

I am involved in local government as chairman of Outwoods Parish Council.

I am a trustee of Burton Duke of Edinburgh scheme.

I am chairman of FISH 2013 Fishing In Safe Hands an angling coaching club aimed at helping young people and promoting angling.

I am chairman of Friends of Outwoods, a local group that campaigns to preserve the beautiful countryside in which we live.

I am treasurer of Tutbury Market, a community project to breathe life back into Tutbury High Street.

It is an honour to work as part of the Trust team and extremely rewarding to see the Trust move from strength to strength.
