This service is for all shoulder and elbow referrals, the following conditions are commonly seen within this service:

• AC joint problems
• Shoulder Instability
• Shoulder problems / pain or weakness
• Tendon rupture of shoulder or elbow
• Shoulder and elbow arthritis
• Shoulder and elbow dislocation
• Rotator cuff problems
• Elbow Instability
• Elbow problems / pain or weakness

• Shoulder arthroscopic decompression
• Shoulder arthroscopic stabilisation
• Shoulder arthroscopic release
• Shoulder arthroscopic rotator cuff repair
• Shoulder arthroscopic excision lateral end of clavicle
• Shoulder replacement
• ACJ stabilisation
• Elbow arthroscopy
• Elbow replacement
• Fracture non-union surgery

Exclusions

All conditions not relating to the shoulder and elbow.

Administrative Requirements

Please ensure that the patients’ demographics are up to date and complete. If investigations have been done away from QHB (e.g. MRI or CT) please ensure that the images and report are available for the appointment If the patient requires transport this should be booked by the GP. Please specify if an interpreter service is required and language / dialect spoken are in the referral letter. Please ensure that the patient brings to their appointment their current medication or a list of their current medication.
