Referral Advice

This condition should normally be referred to the vascular surgeons unless there is concern regarding skin malignancy or allergic contact dermatitis. We do not always have the nursing staff or clinic space available for dressings, so it would be very helpful if it is made clear on the referral letter that a dressing change will be needed so we can make suitable arrangements for this.
