BHFT News Update w/e 11th May 2012

Paediatric Clinic at Swadlincote Health Centre

Please note that the above clinic is due to start on 14/6/12 by Dr Goel, Consultant Paediatrician. Please refer patients directly to Dr Goel at Burton or via Choose and Book.

Paediatric course for GPs and clinical practice staff

Please note the attached course scheduled for 15/6/12 is now accredited by the RCGP.

Gynaecology event 28th June

We would like to invite all doctors and practice nurses to our 6th GP update meeting in gynaecology on the 28th June 2012 at the Pavilion at Branston Country and Golf Club. The meeting will start with lunch and registration at 1.30pm and the meeting will run between 2-5pm. The meeting is FREE for all to attend.

Neurology referrals - clarification

Following feedback, we would like to clarify the referral process for neurology.

Urgent referrals only need to be sent to bhft.diabetescentre@nhs.net as the fax machine that these requests used to be sent to is no longer operational.

This is a supplementary referral system and not a replacement for the regular routine referral system, via letters and Choose and Book.

We apologise for the confusion the wrong information has caused. If you have any enquires regarding this matter please contact Anna Winyard, Business Manager Medicine ext 5002.
