CT Scanner Appeal

Thank you for all your support!

After 18 months of charity auctions, sponsored walks, fashion shows, coffee mornings, discos and more, Burton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is proud to announce that thanks to the generous support of people in local communities the £500,000 Scanner Appeal target has been reached.

Jim Morrison, Appeal Chairman, said: “We have been overwhelmed by the generous support of the public who have made this appeal such a huge success. I would like to extend a personal thank you to every individual who has given their time and money and helped us achieve our target.

“We knew before the appeal was even launched that raising £ ½ million in a relatively short period of time was an enormous challenge and the public, as generous-spirited as ever, has risen to that challenge magnificently.

“We have received over 1,600 individual donations and clearly without this overwhelming support we would not have reached our ambitious target in the allotted timeframe.

“I cannot over-emphasise what a difference the provision of the new CT scanner at Burton Hospitals will make to the care of our patients, in terms of ease of diagnosis and enabling them to receive effective treatment far more quickly. Ultimately, that is what this appeal has been all about.”
