Urogynaecology

Welcome to the Burton and District Urogynaecology Centre

A Nationally Accredited Urogynaecology Unit

The Urogynaecology department has been set up to provide a service for female urinary incontinence patients in Burton and surrounding areas. In November 2011, the unit became the 5th Urogynaecology unit nationally to become accredited by the British Society of Urogynaecology. This National Award recognises our high quality care and delivery of best clinical practice. It shows our commitment to provide our patients with a high standard of care.

About the Urogynaecology Department

It is a unique collaborative service that has been developed between primary and secondary care, to provide a patient-centred, multidisciplinary approach in the management of female urinary incontinence. The service is designed around delivery of treatment locally, within the community, with the aim of limiting hospital visits. If a referral to hospital is needed, the patient can be booked directly via Choose & Book to a One-Stop Urodynamic Clinic where a diagnosis and treatment plan will be formulated at a single visit.

What does out accreditation mean for you?

Our accreditation with BSUG recognises our high quality care and delivery of best clinical practice. It also shows our commitment to providing you with the best and ever improving care with up to date techniques and procedures.
