Outpatients-Samuel Johnson

The Outpatients Department at Samuel Johnson Community Hospital is open five days a week, with some clinics also being held on a Saturday morning.  Opening times are 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday (although nursing staff are available from 8am).

The department is staffed by reception staff, nursing staff, clinical support workers, and student nurses who attend outpatients on placement as part of their training.  Doctors attend their clinics from Queen’s Hospital, Burton, or other outside hospitals such as Heartlands. Specialist nurses also hold clinics here.

The outpatient department also has a drop-in phlebotomy clinic run twice a week Tuesday and Wednesday (8.30 – 12.30) for patients attending the outpatient departments at Burton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust's hospitals.
