- Carers Direct (Carers Direct is a new service recently launched as part of the government’s New Deal for Carers – a programme to improve support for the UK's growing number of carers. It provides carers with a single and comprehensive online resource for carer-specific information, including guidance on the different stages of caring, information for claiming benefits, advice for young carers and contact details for local authorities.)
