Supervision of midwives is a statutory responsibility in the United Kingdom.
The role of Supervisors of Midwives is to ensure the development and maintenance of safe practice to ensure you, your baby and family are protected.
Supervision is a means of promoting excellence in midwifery care. Every midwife must have a named Supervisor of Midwives.
