Becoming involved in your healthcare services

We are seeking people who would like to be involved and make a real difference to the way local health services are organised and delivered at the Hospital. We welcome volunteers from all our local communities and would value your involvement in a variety of ways:

  • Become a volunteer: Volunteers are always needed to help with a wide variety of tasks within the Hospital. If you would like more information please contact our Voluntary Services Coordinator on 01283 566333, extension 2301.
  • Join Burton Hospitals League of Friends who have raised over £1 million in 25 years of fund raising. People with office skills are particularly needed. Please contact the Chairman on 01283 56111.
  • Help our Phoenix Radio Station. Ward walkers are needed to collect patient requests. Training is available for would be presenters – this would help us increase our live broadcasts. Contact the Station Manager on 07770 936366.
  • Take part in a Patient Survey or face to face interview. Your feedback will help us improve the quality of our services. Contact our PPE advisor on 01283 511511
    ext 5279.
  • Join our Readers Panel and help improve the quality of the information we offer to patients. Contact our PPE advisor on 01283 511511 ext 5279.

How you would benefit?

We can’t pay you, but we will pay you back your travel expenses.

You will know you are helping improve services and will hopefully enjoy being part of one of our teams.

We will do our best to accommodate any special needs you have.
