Profile

Mr James Eccersley graduated from Cambridge University in 1991 after clinical training at The Royal London Hospital. He undertook higher surgical training in London and East Anglia after research in anorectal disorders. He joined the staff inBurton as a consultant Colorectal, General and Laparoscopic Surgeon in 2004.

His specialist interests are colorectal cancer, anorectal disorders and emergency surgery. He holds a colorectal clinic every Friday and a general surgical clinic on Mondays, as well as a clinic in Lichfield on alternate Wednesdays. All urgent cancer referrals are pooled and directed to a weekly Monday lower G.I. endoscopy list.
